Parent Community Network

Aloha Ewa Makai Ohana,

My name is Erynn Tait and I am the Parent Community Networking Center (PCNC) Facilitator here at Ewa Makai Middle School. I am also the Chair of the School Community Council. Please see the SCC page for more information on the SCC and our need for parent and community representatives.

As a PCNC facilitator, my role is to help support partnerships between the home, school, and the community. Communication is vital and I strive to provide important information in the monthly newsletter as well e-mails and phone calls home as required. We have various volunteer opportunities to include events and field trips throughout the year We love and encourage parent/family involvement. If you would like to volunteer on campus, I provide volunteer training to ensure the safety of our students. I am also the Ohana (PTO) liaison and highly encourage you to join (it is free) to connect with other parents at the school. My office is located in room D-105 and I am usually on campus four days a week. My position is only 19 hours and I’m a substitute teacher enjoying our keiki in the classroom. I can be reached via email at erynn.tait@ewamakai.org, or at 808.687.9445 and I will get back with you as soon as I can. I look forward to a wonderful year with you and your children.

Mahalo,
Erynn Tait

Ohana Parent Teacher Organization

At EMMS we love to have families engage with what is taking place at the school and we strive to help facilitate a school/family partnership to promote student success. The OHANA PTO is dedicated to collaborating with our parents, and families, to share ideas and concerns, working together to volunteer for various school events, and helping to provide additional resources for student/teacher benefit.
