Come get all the important beginning of year forms and information at Packet Pickup Day.  If you preordered uniforms (May 8 - June 8) you can pick these up as well.

EMMS Summer Enrichment Apps

Applications for incoming 7th and 8th grade students at Ewa Makai Middle School's Summer Enrichment Program 2017 will be available at the Ewa Makai Middle School Front Office starting on Thursday, April 20. Spaces and classes are limited and applications will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. 

Upon completion, applications need to be handed in to the Ewa Makai Middle School Front Office. A confirmation email will be sent during the week of May 8-12 to notify parents/students of their acceptance to our program.

8th Grade Banquet IMPORTANT INFO

Important Dates:
  • April 19 : 8th Grade Banquet forms will distributed to all students during their Wheel period.
  • April 24-May 8: Payment of $38 , (Cash only) collected with complete form with Parent/Guardian Signature and clearance of Student Government Fees, lunch loans, library books with verification from the front office.
  • May 8, 2017: Last Day to turn in Permission form and $38 cash payment due to D101, by 3:00PM. 
  • A receipt upon payment will be provided for all attendees
  • May 26, 2017: Banquet 8:45-2:45 Pick up drop off at EMMS
  • Effective Wednesday, March 1, 2017, if the student performs any action that results in suspension, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the 8th Grade Banquet, May, 26, 2017.


Banquet Requirements:
  • All student fees must be paid:
  • School dress code requirements apply and IDs must be worn on campus
  • Student Government Dues
  • Lunch Loan Obligations
  • Overdue Library Books
  • Text book and prior school obligations
  • Students must go to the office and receive a signature on their form from an office clerk to prove they paid all of their student fees and obligations in full with cash. 
  • $38 (Cash) paid in full with cash with Parent Permission Slip. 
  • Banquet form must be completed with parent/guardian signature
  • All detention issued by Administration must be cleared before attending the Banquet
  • No late payments will be accepted

                  School to Be Tented

                  Aloha Ewa Makai Middle School Families, 

                  The school will be tented and fumigated for termites during the Spring Break, March 21st- March 27th.  We will be open again on March 28th.  Because no one can be on campus during the fumigation, our office will be located at James Campbell High School in the Saber Hall Building.  Our phones will be the same:  808-687-9500.  If you need assistance during the Spring Break please contact us at JCHS or by phone.  Mahalo for your understanding.

                  Congratulations Mrs. Martin! 2017 Hawaii Assistant Principal of the Year!

                  2017 Hawaii Assistant Principal of the Year –
                  Congratulations Mrs. Martin!



                  Ewa Makai Middle School Vice Principal Geri Martin has been named the Hawaii 2017 Assistant Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). This program annually recognizes the accomplishments of 53 assistant principals—representing 50 states, Washington D.C. the Department of Defense Education Activity, and the U.S. Department of State Office of Overseas Schools.

                  Mrs. Martin clearly demonstrated excellence in the four categories for selection that included:
                  • Personal Excellence
                  • Collaborative Leadership
                  • Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
                  • Personalization
                  Vice Principal Martin will now be considered for the National Assistant Principal of the Year award. An Independent judging panel will review and select three national finalists who will be notified in March 2017.
